Three Israeli civilians were injured Thursday afternoon in what security officials believe is a terror hit and run attack in Gush Etzion, south of Jerusalem.
At approximately 1:15 pm, a black vehicle bearing a Palestinian license plate rammed at high speed into a hitchhiking station outside the settlement of Alon Shvut.
The vehicle struck the three 16-year-old teenagers and then fled the scene of the attack.
Magen David Adom paramedics responded to the scene of the attack and treated the three teens for injuries ranging from light to moderate. Once stabilized, the victims were evacuated to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.
The IDF set up roadblocks in the immediate vicinity and are said to be searching in the Halhul area and villages north of Hebron.
A Palestinian driver, who is believed to be the suspect behind the attack, is being held for questioning in connection to the incident.
He is reported to be a resident of Hebron.
Thursday’s car-ramming attack is the latest in a series of vehicular attacks in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.
