Breaking Israel News has concluded the Jewish year of 5775 on a high note after experiencing a large surge in web traffic, with over 1 million sessions and 2.5 million page views during the months of July and August.

Offering readers ‘the latest news from a Biblical perspective’ according to its tagline, Breaking Israel News has tripled its web traffic from 365,000 sessions in May to over 1,000,000 sessions in July according to research and data provided by SimilarWeb.

The chart below compares the ten largest English language news sites covering Israel and the Jewish world and demonstrates the rapid growth that Breaking Israel News has experienced over the past four months.

Statistics based on SimilarWeb
Statistics provided by SimilarWeb, measuring monthly web sessions show that Breaking Israel News has recently joined more established Israeli news sites with more than 1 million monthly sessions.

The Breaking Israel News staff has expanded as well over the past year, with experienced writers, freelancers and over 50 contributors contributing a wide-range of news and opinion from a perspective that is neither liberal nor conservative – just Biblical.

“Every day we are trying to provide our readers with original content and curated opinion pieces that explain how what’s happening in Israel has tremendous spiritual significance,” said Rabbi Tuly Weisz, publisher of Breaking Israel News.

Established in 2013, Breaking Israel News focuses on news impacting Israel as well as prophetic events unfolding around the globe. Unlike other news sites, Breaking Israel News caters specifically to a diverse audience of Biblical Zionists, both Jewish and Christian, with readers from over 100 countries around the world.

“We’re anticipating much more growth as we find our voice and respond to what our readers are most interested in,” explained Weisz.

Run by a news staff of Orthodox Jews located in Beit Shemesh, Israel, writing in a meaningful and relevant style for Evangelical Christians can prove to be complicated.

Due to its frequent coverage of news events of a prophetic nature, occasionally readers have assumed incorrectly that Breaking Israel News is a Christian site or a site by Messianic Jews, which is not the case.

“At Breaking Israel News, we try and explain Jewish concepts in a way that religious Christians can also appreciate,” said Weisz.

“For example, traditional Judaism maintains a firm belief and anticipation of the ‘coming of the Moshiach’ and important Israeli rabbis often talk publicly about it to great local fanfare. When we report on those speeches, for example, on Breaking Israel News, we’ll talk about the ‘Messiah’ in a way that non-Jews can understand as well and even share in our excitement. Judaism believes that Jews and non Jews will work together to bring the Moshiach and we will all benefit from his arrival, so its important for our generation to have a news site covering these pivotal times.”

“Our goal is not to be the largest news site,” said Weisz, “but I do want Breaking Israel News to be the ones to break the story when the Moshiach comes. And, hopefully, to be the news site to land his first interview!”
