Female Palestinian Terrorist Leaves “Suicide Note”

On Monday morning a young Palestinian woman attempted to commit a stabbing attack at the Eliyahu checkpoint in the Judea and Samaria District and was killed by security forces.

Security forces saw the woman approaching cars at the checkpoint and called out for her to stop, but she did not. They fired a warning shot into the air and the woman took a knife out of her bag, at which point the security forces shot at her, killing her.

Defense Ministry guards found a “suicide note” of sorts in the woman’s bag explaining her actions and making it clear that she did not expect to survive her planned attack. She wrote in Arabic, “I don’t know what will happen to me at the end of the road. I am fully aware of what I am doing. I am [doing this] in defense of my homeland, the young men and women. I cannot stand what I can’t see, anymore, and I can’t suffer anymore.”

The note continued: “To my parents and siblings forgive me for what I am going to do. I love you. Especially my fiancee. I am sorry for whatever will happen to me and that this is the way that I am ending.”

Her attack marked the second time in two days that a female Palestinian terrorist attempted to attack security forces. Yesterday, a woman tried to stab a security guard outside of Beitar Ilit. Disturbing footage of the incident, showing a seemingly calm and normal woman suddenly reach into her bag, grab a knife and maniacally attack the guard to whom she had been talking a moment before, spread quickly through social media.
