Two women were stabbed and seriously injured in a terror attack on Monday afternoon in the Samarian community of Beit Horon.

Two Arabs entered a market in Beit Horon, armed with knives, and stabbed a woman inside the store, then stabbed another woman outside the store as they fled the scene. The town’s security officer shot and killed both assailants outside the store. One woman, age 24, is listed in critical condition and the other, age 58, is in moderate condition.

Beit Horon is a small community in Smaria’s Benyamin region, between Jerusalem and the city of Modi’in.

After the incident, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and a pipe bomb were found at the scene. A short time later, another explosive device was found at the scene.

There were two stabbings last week in Gush Etzion, south of Jerusalem. A young mother was stabbed and killed in her home in Otniel, and a pregnant woman was stabbed and injured moderately in Tekoa.
