65 Yr Old Israeli Woman Stabbed in Terror Attack in Bedouin Town

A 65 year old Jewish Israeli woman was shopping with her family in the Bedouin town of Rahat on Saturday evening when she was stabbed in the neck by a 20 year old Arab man. The assailant fled the scene and is still at large. According to some reports, he is a resident of the city. The victim was taken to Soroka hospital in Be’er Sheva where she was listed in moderate condition.

Rahat is a small city in the south of Israel. Bedouins serve in the IDF however some terror attacks recently have been perpetrated by Bedouins, most notably in a deadly attack in the Be’er Sheva bus station in October.

Last week was an especially tragic time for terror in Israel. In an attack near Damascus Gate in Jerusalem, three terrorists armed with knives and automatic weapons killed Hadar Cohen, a 19 year old soldier, and seriously injured another female soldier.

On Thursday, two 13-year-old Arab Israeli girls stabbed and lightly wounded a security guard in their hometown of Ramle.

Last Sunday, three Israelis were injured in a shooting attack in Bet El, north of Jerusalem.
