Ivanka Trump introduced her father, Donald Trump, at the Republican National Convention on Thursday night in presidential style, generating a rousing round of applause in one of the convention’s highlights.

Ivanka, an observant Jew and mother of three, wowed the crowd as she came onto the stage accompanied by the Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun”. Even the fashion magazines gave her high marks for looking stunning. Rather than wear an expensive tailor made dress, Ivanka chose to wear an off-the-rack $158 dress from her own line.

She described what it was like to grow up in the shadow of a real-estate billionaire, constructing Lego buildings on the floor of her father’s office as a young girl while he “built the same things with glass and steel.”

“When my father says that he will make America great again, he will deliver. We have a chance this year to reclaim our heritage as a country to dream big and making the impossible happen,” she said. “Fortunately, Donald Trump is incapable of thinking small. When I was a little girl, he’d say to me: ‘Ivanka, you’re going to be thinking any way, may as well think big.’”

Ivanka has become a part of this as Executive Vice President of Development & Acquisitions at the Trump Organization. She has taken an active role in her father’s burgeoning political career as well.

“I do not consider myself a Republican or a Democrat,” she said. “Not this time. Donald Trump is the person to make America great again.”

Her speech gave hope to many as she described her father’s agenda.

“As President, my father will change the labor laws put in place when women were not a significant portion of the workforce. He will make childcare affordable and accessible to all,” she said. “He will fight for equal pay for equal work and I will fight for this too right alongside of him.”

“In Donald Trump, you have a candidate that knows the difference between wanting something to happen and making it happen,” she added. “Judge his values by those he has instilled in his children.”

Calling her father a “political outsider” for not being a career politician, she noted that, “Real change is only going to come from outside of the system.”
