Thanks to the 44th President of the Unite States, Barack Obama, America will now join Egypt, Persia, Rome, Greece, Nazi Germany, Britain and the rest of the many countries that have risen to power only to be reduced to ruins thanks to their ignorance with regard to its enemies and the hubris to deny such ignorance exists. Israel will remain.

After President Obama’s address to the nation on Syria Tuesday, the Paul and Paulette Reveres who had the courage to stick to their guns (and religion) and alert the American people to the dangers of this man as the leader of the free world have crossed the threshold from ‘crazy’ to clairvoyant.

In his address the president once again flip-flopped on his decision to attack Syria nearly two weeks after he initially declared his intentions to do so. The number of times he contradicts himself in one speech is astounding. Surly even his teleprompter is confused! “America is not the world’s policeman,” Obama opened. Yet, he later stated that a strike was imperative because, “When dictators commit atrocities, they depend upon the world to look the other way until these horrifying pictures fade from memory.” Which one is it Mr. President? Is flip-flopping not exactly what his opponent in the last election, Mitt Romney, was hammered for repeatedly?

It is no wonder many are opposed to a strike now. Obama has given anybody important in the war-torn country enough time to take a nice long vacation until America attacks. It has also provided Syria and its allies ample time to plan a more cohesive and effective reprisal attack against Israel. Obama’s blatant ignorance of the region and his subsequent indecision has diminished any residual respect America had managed to curry in the world, despite this president’s constant shaming of it. Is being ignorant and unqualified not exactly what Sarah Palin was hammered for repeatedly?

It all began with Obama’s Cairo speech. In a desperate plea to garner favor with a global radical Islamic community that will never love him back, POTUS began a stupefying trend of apologizing for the West standing up for its ideals. Flash forward nearly six years later and the destruction of the Red, White and Blue as a legitimate global superpower is almost complete.

Whether or not Obama did this intentionally is far from the point. The fact is that the world is laughing at America and Obama continues to play the fool. Even he and his Secretary of State can’t get on the same page. On the same day that Obama suggested to the people that a diplomatic solution is now favorable to his administration, John Kerry was on Google+ (a place where all great foreign policy discussions have taken place no doubt) insisting that if America doesn’t strike, “the greatest likelihood is: that Syria implodes, that the institutions of the state crash, that Syria breaks up,” creating “ungoverned free open spaces” where radical organizations “which are far worse, incidentally, than al-Qaeda.” Then again it is no wonder Kerry is having difficulty keeping pace with a Commander-in-Chief who is more lost than Miley Cyrus.

It is also worth noting that the result Obama hopes to reach through negotiations is the handing over of Syria’s chemical weapons to the international community via its ally and staunch anti-American actor Russia. Never mind Putin’s own horrific record of human rights abuse (see homosexual repression, abuse and violence, among others). Russia has repeatedly blocked any Western efforts to halt Syria at the UN and have shown no reason over the years for America to trust them. As the American Standard’s Lee Smith points out, “Who knows what the Russians told Assad? For God’s sake, just say it’s your chemical weapons arsenal you’re turning over for safekeeping. Send them canisters of perfume, or cat urine.”

The last issue to examine is the effect of Obama’s cowardice on the State of Israel. In his speech, Obama told the world what it already knows. “Israel, can defend itself with overwhelming force.” However, with the totality of his broadcast considered, Obama did more than just declare that Israel CAN defend itself; he essentially declared that Israel WILL HAVE TO defend itself, which at the end of the day will be fine with Israel.

Long after the current crisis in Syria peters out, as history continues to dictate, Israel will still be standing strong, but, thanks to the President of Hope and Change, America may not be so lucky.
