More Than 30,000 Hasidic Pilgrims Celebrate Jewish New Year in Ukraine

In an increasingly popular tradition, thousands of (mostly) Hasidic pilgrims make their way to Ukraine for Rosh Hashanah. This year, it was estimated that more than 30,000 of them made their way to the central Ukrainian city of Uman. They go to pray at the graveside of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov – founder of the Breslov Hasidic Movement.
