In the days to come, The Mount of Hashem‘s House Shall stand firm above the mountains And tower above the hills; And all the nations Shall gaze on it with joy.

In a joint statement from leading (Jewish) Temple Mount organizations warn of a worsening situation on the Temple Mount against Jewish pilgrims visiting the holy site. The groups, including: including ‘Women for the ark’, ‘Return to the Mount’, ‘The Temple Mount Yeshiva’, and the ‘Colel of Zion’s Demand’, are concerned for a change for the worse in the last few months under Bennett’s new government.
The various Temple Mount rights organizations united to pen the letter whereby they noticed that in the last few months, at least ten prominent Temple Mount figures have received restraining orders from the site.
Among them is former MK Yehuda Glick who was distanced from the Mount during the Sukkoth holiday. The head of
Four leaders of the ‘Biyadeinu for the Temple Mount’ movement were also distanced including its head, Tom Nisani. Nisani said in a statement that “under the current government, in the last few months, there have been changes that are no doubt targeted by the Interior Security Ministry and high ranking police officers. They have decided to restrict the path of Jewish pilgrims to the Temple Mount and it manifests in disproportionate and extreme measures. If the (High) Court did not have an agenda, would force the police to cancel them. We will continue to struggle using all means necessary to stop this downward spiral. Internal Security Minister Omer Bar-Lev is the worst since (former Internal Security Minister) Aharonovich and promised to limit the access of Jews to the Temple Mount and succeeded.
Biyadeinu activist Itai Sanzuri was distanced on Channukah after asking a police officer to quit harassing one of the pilgrims and was distanced for an unlimited time period. On the same day, Rabbi Yisrael Ariel, president of the Temple Institute.was also detained by the police as a “warning.” This type of procedure against such a prominent rabbi on the mount is unprecedented.
Also on Channukah, Rafael Morris and Uri Shilo of ‘Returning to the Mount’ restraining orders until a hearing takes place and are expected to get another restraining order following their hearing.
Rabbi Ariyeh Lipo of Yeshiva ‘Drasha’was also distanced from the holy site after asking “to be distanced from a friend of the terrorist who killed Eliyahu Kay.”
Eli Kay was a South African Citizen from Johannesburg that made Aliyah to Israel a few years ago. He served as a Paratrooper in the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) as a Lone Soldier. He was brutally gunned down with an automatic machine gun in the Old City of Jerusalem last month.
Rabbi Elisha Wolfson of Yeshiva ‘Zion’s Demands’ was warned in two separate police hearings.
Making matters worse, on Monday it was announced that Jewish pilgrims were not allowed to bring maps of the Temple Mount onto the holy site. These maps are often used as a visual aide for tour guides to help fellow Jewish pilgrims better understand their location on the mount.
Additionally, the police now ban snack consumption and even the reading of Psalms from cellular phones.
Rachel Sela of ‘Women for the Temple’ was told by police that she could not distribute study sheets to her fellow pilgrims – another unprecedented move.
