Iran: “Our Hands Remain on the Trigger” to Annihilate Israel

“No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.” (Isaiah 54:17)

Iran is preparing itself to go to war against Israel. The air force commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps was quoted by Iran’s Fars news outlet explaining that the Iranian military is waiting patiently with its finger on the trigger to destroy Israel. As soon as the military receives its orders, all hell will break loose.

Brigadier General Hossein Salami said that Iranian military leaders are intent on destroying “the Zionist regime of Israel.”

“Today, we can destroy every spot which is under the Zionist regime’s control with any volume of fire power (that we want) right from here,” Salami told a conference in Tehran.

Israel is no stranger to Iranian threats. Last month, Salami threatened Israel when he said that Iran “could minimize the breathing room of the U.S. and the West until the Zionist regime would no longer have room to breathe.” Iranian state TV also ran a computerized hypothetical documentary showing Iranian drones attacking Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion Airport, and the Dimona nuclear reactor.

However, Salami’s recent statements were particularly hostile in language as compared to other threats.

“Islam has given us this wish, capacity and power to destroy the Zionist regime so that our hands will remain on the trigger from 1,400km away for the day when such an incident (confrontation with Israel) takes place,” he said.

The comments made by Salami came a day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu unveiled the contents of an intercepted Iranian arms shipment en route to terrorists in Gaza. The prime minister said that Israel’s operation to capture the shipment meant to “expose the true face of Iran.”

Israel’s Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon called Iran “the number one exporter of terror in the world.” According to Yaalon, the discovery and interception of the covert weapons cache incriminates Gaza as a “terrorist entity, an Iranian branch that is financed, armed and trained by Iran.”

On Tuesday, reports showed that Hamas has renewed its diplomatic relations with Iran. Hamas vowed that it would strike the “heart of the Zionist entity.” The terrorist organization also threatened that in all future confrontations with Israel, missiles would rain down on cities all over the country.
