A blogger in Saudi Arabia has never been physically assaulted in his home country for loving Israel. But as soon as he stepped on the Temple Mount, Mohammad Saud, a Saudi Arabian journalist who “loves Israel” came on a visit at the behest of Israel’s foreign ministry. On Tuesday, he toured the Temple Mount. When that happened, Arab members of the Jordanian Wakf assaulted and spit at him while on the Mount calling him an “animal” and “Zionist trash.”
Saud is a controversial blogger in the Arab world as he often sings Israel’s praises in his video blogs. In one he wished the Jewish people a Yom Haatzmaut Sameach (Happy Independence Day). He has also praised the fact that there is freedom of religion in Israel finishing the video saying “God bless you”.
Saud also wishes for a diplomatic relationship with Israel to make a “greater Middle East”.
The blogger features his name in Hebrew and an Israeli flag on his Twitter profile.
Saud is a member of a delegation of media influencers from Arabic countries who came to Israel at the behest of the Foreign Ministry.
The Foreign Ministry condemned the assault on the Saudi blogger saying: “We embrace the young man who was and will remain a guest of honor in Israel.”
Last month Breaking Israel News reported on a drone strike from Iranian backed Houthis from Yemen against Saudi Arabia’s international airport.
