Right after Freshman congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D, MN) compared boycotting Israel to boycotting Nazi Germany on July 26, Omar has split with her second husband (and first), Ahmed Hirsi reports The Daily Mail.
The imminent divorce comes in light of allegations that Omar married her own brother in a successful attempt at getting him into the US soil. “Omar has now dumped her current husband Ahmed Hirsi – who she first married in a religious ceremony in 2002 and divorced in 2008 – and moved into a penthouse apartment in one of Minneapolis’s trendiest neighborhoods, DailyMail.com has learned exclusively.”
Although her first marriage to Hirsi in 2002 was performed according to Islamic law. Following her divorce in 2008, Her second marriage, to Elmi, was performed by a Christian minister, even though both Omar and Elmi are Muslim reports Blaze TV.
Even though she got remarried, Omar and Hirsi lived in her original home with her ex-husband and her two kids.
Omar then separated from Elmi in 2011. Then only one month later, she remarried her original ex-husband, Hirsi. This time she had another Muslim Faith marriage to him.
When Omar filed taxes, she claimed that her husband was Hirsi even though she was still legally married to Elmi.
But after winning her seat in the Minnesota House following the 2016 election, Omar “legally” divorced Elmi. Then she legally married Hirsi.
When inquired about her, marriage by the Daily Mail, Hirsi responded: “Wow, I can’t comment on that. I’m sorry, I just can’t say anything.”
The Daily Mail reported that they were informed by a family friend that Hirsi only goes to Omar’s house “when Ilhan is in DC.”
