After Envisioning Third Temple, Netanyahu’s Main Rival Sees Himself as Moses

But Moshe said to Hashem, “Please, O Hashem, I have never been a man of words, either in times past or now that You have spoken to Your servant; I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.” Exodus 4:10 (The Israel Bible™)

Netanyahu’s main rival and Blue and White party leader Benny Gantz was interviewed on the Walla News program on Sunday. During the interview, the former Chief of Staff was asked about all the gaffes he keeps making during press interviews: “You sit in the studios and oftentimes your answers are bumbling, don’t you think that it harms your campaign?” the host inquired.

Gantz responded saying: “We both know that Moshe Rabbeinu (Moses) used to stutter. He needed Aaron to speak for him, However, he was a great leader.”

His self-comparison to Moses comes just a few weeks after Breaking Israel News reported that Gantz envisioned the Third Temple following elections.

The ultra-Orthodox Knesset members mocked Gantz’s comparison with Israel’s most revered leader.

The Ultra-Orthodox MK Yaakov Asher (United Torah Judaism) blasted Gantz’s remarks saying: “He has the audacity to compare himself to Moses our teacher, Ofra to Fumeya (blasphemes). He will not enter the promised land that he dreams of. He will not be the prime minister.”

Yisrael Eichler , also from (UTJ) added: “Moses our teacher went with Aharon the High Priest and blessed Israel with love. In contrast, Gantz, walks with Balaam to curse Israel with the hatred of the world. “
