Good news out of Gaza this morning. A terrorist associated with the Islamic Jihad terror group died Monday morning after accidentally blowing himself up.

The 25-year-old terrorist, whose death was dubbed a “work accident,” was handling an explosive to be used in an act of terror when it exploded, reports Channel 10. The incident occurred in northern Gaza, in the town of Jabalia.

A similar incident took place on Saturday in the Sinai Peninsula when a terrorist affiliated with an al-Qaeda inspired terror group was killed by his own roadside bomb.

Egyptian security officials said the terrorist was in the process of planting a hidden roadside bomb when it detonated, the Associated Press reported. Officials also confirmed that the terrorist’s father, who was present, lost an arm in the blast.

The bomb was being planted on a road that is frequently used by the Egyptian army.

Both men are known members of the Ansar Beit al-Maqdis terror organization which has carried out some of the deadliest and bloodiest attacks in Egypt in recent years. Since the ousting of Islamist President Mohammed Morsi, the terror group has since increased its attacks in the region.
