“Wash you, make you clean, put away the evil of your doings from before Mine eyes, cease to do evil.” Isaiah 1:16 (The Israel Bible™)
Christians United for Israel (CUFI), which at 3.2 million members calls itself the largest pro-Israel organization in the U.S., has released a video urging Republican and Democratic lawmakers to pass a bill named after an American victim of Palestinian terrorism.
The Taylor Force Act—introduced in September by U.S. Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Dan Coats (R-Ind.), and Roy Blunt (R-Mo.)—is named after the American veteran who was stabbed to death in a Palestinian terror attack that left 10 others wounded last March in Jaffa, Israel. Force, 29, served tours of duty in the U.S. Army in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was in Israel as part of a Vanderbilt University business school trip.
CUFI’s new video, titled “Stop Money For Murder,” seeks to educate lawmakers and the general public alike on how the Palestinian Authority—which receives hundreds of millions of dollars in annual foreign aid from the U.S.—pays monetary rewards to jailed terrorists and the family members of terrorists who were killed. The Taylor Force Act would require the U.S. secretary of state to certify that the PA has ended its payments for terrorists and their relatives. The bill also calls on the PA to publicly condemn terrorism and take steps to bring terrorists to justice.
“Americans cannot support an entity that sponsors terrorism and incites violence,” said Pastor John Hagee, CUFI’s founder and chairman. “The Taylor Force Act isn’t about Democrat vs Republican, it’s about right and wrong. Every Member of Congress should back this legislation, and it should be one of the easiest decisions they make.”
