An 18-year-old Palestinian man stabbed four people on Sunday afternoon on Hayarkon Street in Tel Aviv. The assailant was arrested and detained for questioning. Police confirmed the incident was a terror attack.

First-responder teams treated four victims who had sustained light bruise or stab wounds. The casualties included two men and a woman who were injured in the vicinity of the Herods Hotel and another man who was was injured in the vicinity of Atarim Square. All were taken by ambulance to Ichilov Hospital.

The teenaged terrorist from Nablus had apparently entered Israel on a one-day pass as part of a group called “Natural Peace Tours”, which works to promote relationships between Israelis and Palestinians.

Yossi Eckler, a United Hatzalah EMT volunteer who was a first-responder at the scene, said: “When I arrived at the hotel, we found two men and one woman who had sustained light injuries in the lobby. They were suffering from wounds to their upper body. While treating them together with other EMTs from the ambu-cycle unit who arrived after me, we were informed of another wounded man outside the hotel. The EMTs promptly ran to treat him as well.”

The victims were a man in his 70’s, and two men and a woman in their 50’s.

Israel temporarily suspended single-day work permits for Palestinians following the terror attack.
