“Go, I pray you, make yet more sure, and know and see his place where his haunt is, and who hath seen him there; for it is told me that he dealeth very subtly.” I Samuel 23:22 (The Israel Bible™)
The United Nations is colluding with terror supporters, Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, charged Wednesday.
Danon’s office said organizations partnering with Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) will take part in the “United Nations Forum to Mark Fifty Years of Occupation” at UN headquarters in New York on Thursday.
The forum is organized by the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People – a committee established by the UN General Assembly in 1975 to “recommend a program of implementation to enable the Palestinian people to exercise their inalienable rights to self-determination” and “to return to their homes and property.”
Among the organizations taking part in the forum are al-Haq, which describes itself as a Palestinian human rights group, but according to the Israeli watchdog NGO Monitor “characterizes Palestinian terror activities as legitimate resistance” and is a “leader in anti-Israel demonization campaigns.” The group’s General Director, Shawan Jabarin, has been denied exit visas by Israel and Jordan on several occasions due to his alleged ties to the PFLP terrorist group.
Earlier this month, the PFLP said that two of its operatives were killed during a terror attack in Jerusalem in which Israeli policewoman Hadas Malka was stabbed to death.
Hamas and the PFLP are both listed as terrorist organizations by the United States, Canada, the European Union and other countries.
Danon’s office also said it had information that the Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, another group represented at the UN conference, works regularly with Hamas.
“The UN is colluding with supporters of terror seeking to harm Israel,” Danon said. “It is beyond comprehension that UN funds are supporting organizations which aid terrorists and incite against Israel. We call on the Secretary General to intervene immediately and prevent these individuals from appearing at the UN.”
