Housing Minister Yoav Galant, a retired IDF general, said Sunday that Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah is at the top of Israel’s “hit list,” and said Israel would “drop the gloves” during the next round of fighting between Israel and the Iranian-backed terror organization.

Galant was responding to repeated threats over the weekend by Nasrallah, accusing Israel Saturday of continually violating Lebanon’s sovereignty with surveillance cameras and espionage tools, and adding Sunday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s policies are “leading to the destruction of the Jewish people.”

In a televised address to supporters on Ashura, a Shia holiday marking the culmination of a mourning period spanning the first 10 days of the Islamic month Muharram, Nasrallah said, “Israel will continue to attack Syria using the excuse of preventing weapons from reaching Hezbollah” and called on “all Jews who came to occupied Palestine to get out and to return to the lands they came from, so you will not be the fuel for any war waged by your foolish government.

“The Zionist movement is taking advantage of Judaism, and of Jews, in order to create a plan to occupy Palestine and the entire region,” he added.
