The Lotar Eilat Unit, an elite counter-terrorism and hostage-rescue unit based in the southern resort city of Eilat, is concluding a big hostage-rescue exercise in the popular biblical theme park “Kings City”. The unit is made up entirely of reserve combat soldiers living in Eilat who regularly leave their families to train and prepare for emergency operations so they are ready to save lives when they are most needed.
