Israeli security forces have arrested a cell of Palestinian teenagers suspected of attacking Jewish worshipers and security forces at Rachel’s Tomb, in northern Bethlehem, police announced Thursday morning.
The Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court on Sunday morning sentenced Sheikh Omar Abu Sara to eight months in prison, but the Honenu legal aid organization, which filed the complaint, criticized the ruling as “too little, too late.”
It was a busy night for Israeli security forces in Judea and Samaria, with multiple operations and raids during which two IDF soldiers were wounded, many weapons were discovered and seized, and 27 Palestinian terror suspects were arrested.
Israeli archaeologists, visiting colleagues from DePaul University in Chicago and a group of Israeli teenagers said the findings left “no room for doubt” that donkeys, sheep and goats inhabited Israel in ancient times.”
