United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo made a whistle-stop trip to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Pompeo met with Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman to discuss the events leading up to the death of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
The seven-year long Syrian civil war has created a refugee crisis, both those internally displaced and those who have fled the country. In response, a group of Jewish and Arab educators from Israel started the International School of Peace in Lesbos, Greece. Now, the refugee kids have somewhere to go to school.

Nikki Haley shocked both Washington and the world with her sudden resignation. She has served as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations for the last two years. Prior to that she was South Carolina governor for six years. Former Republican Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee said that Haley had done a “fantastic job.”
Biblical archaeology combines both archaeology and religion. The German Protestant Institute of Archaeology (GPIA) was established in 1898 by Kaiser Wilhelm II. The institute focuses on scientific research. Their mission is to first study the archaeology, but everything they do is connected with religion.
