The Hebrew University of Jerusalem has just celebrated the Albert Einstein’s 140th with a cake, a visit from Texas of his cousin – and the presentation of 110 original manuscripts to its Einstein Archives.
A hand-written letter by Albert Einstein, in which he offers his thoughts on God just sold for $2.9 million. The one-and-a-half page document was written in 1954 – one year before the genius’ death. It is thought to contain the most fully articulated expression on Einstein‘s religious and philosophical views.
In 1922, 42-year old Albert Einstein – arguably the greatest secular Jewish genius, and one of the most famous and admired people in the world for his publication of his monumental General Theory of Relativity – set off on October 6 of that year, with his second wife, and first cousin, Elsa, on his first, five-and-a-half-month lecture tour of the Far and Middle East.
