Two IDF Border policemen were wounded in a stabbing attack Monday morning by the Lions’ Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem, by an Arab from a neighborhood that has been the source of some of the deadliest attacks in Israel.
The Israeli Security Agency (Shabak), also known as the Shin Bet, reported a 38 percent drop in terror attacks in November when compared to the previous month. This was largely due to a 72 percent drop in the attacks in the capital, Jerusalem.
As Jews prayed on Yom Kippur, Arabs rioted, clashing with police. The alert status was high, as 3,500 policemen reinforced security in and around Jerusalem after a terror attack on Sunday left two dead.
