Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made a public declaration of Israel’s interest in having the United States recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed John Bolton, Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs (NSA) to Jerusalem and impressed upon him – particularly in light of the announcement to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria – about the need for Israel to maintain sovereignty over its part of the Golan Heights.
With more than 40 percent of Israel Defense Force (IDF) combat soldiers being very religious and the vast majority of the others keeping traditional Judaism, having a proper place to pray while protecting the Holy Land is of great importance. To that end Yahad-United for Israel’s Soldiers is raising funds for a synagogue on wheels which will travel with IDF combat soldiers as they move from place to place.
