Omar Amin Abu Lila, 19, was killed during a shootout with Israeli forces in Abwein, a village just outside Ramallah, after the special units surrounded the house where he was hiding.
Two IDF soldiers were wounded, one seriously, in a ramming attack on Sunday night in what the Palestinians are claiming was a car accident. Hamas praised the “martyrs” killed in the attack while the nearby residents claimed it was an automobile accident that took place on the way to work – at 3:30 a.m.
On Wednesday, Rabbi Eitan Shenrav, the rabbi of reserve IDF battalion 8101, received an award from the director of the Rabbinate Division in the IDF, Rabbi Shilo Adler, and the head of the IDF Yehudah and Shomron Division, Rafi Mila, for “his efforts and awareness in identifying and acting against terrorists next to the town of Har Bracha.”

Following the drive-by shooting – and murder – of two IDF soldiers Thursday, the IDF heightened its activity in the West Bank. It launched a massive man-hunt to capture the murderer, who turned himself in Friday. Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel would accelerate efforts to destroy terrorists’ homes in response.
